Privacy notice

Version privacy-2026-10-v6. This notice covers the AppieCare website and the enquiries and feedback sent through it.

Who we are

AppieCare is responsible for the personal information described here. For any question or request about your information, email info@appiebuyercare.com.

What we collect when you send an enquiry

  • Your answers about the help you need, for example the device, the problem and how soon you need help.
  • Your first name, and the email address and/or phone number you give us for our reply.
  • The country you choose and, if you add it, your town or city.
  • The permission you give: which ways we may contact you, for what, the exact wording you saw and when you agreed.
  • How you reached the form: the page you landed on, the address of the page that linked to it (without any search terms or other query text), and campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source), if there were any.

We do not ask for dates of birth, payment details, passwords or other sensitive information. Please don't include them in the description box.

What we collect if you send website feedback

  • What your feedback is about, how it went (if you say) and your message.
  • If you add them: a name to show, your country, and an email address for a reply.
  • Whether you allow us to publish it, the page you sent it from, the country your connection comes from and whether you use a phone, tablet or computer.

Feedback is separate from enquiries: it never creates an enquiry and never signs you up for anything. If you give an email address, we use it only to reply to that feedback; it is never published and never used for marketing.

We publish feedback only if you tick the box allowing it, and only after we have reviewed it; we may decide not to publish it. Published feedback shows your message, the name you chose (or “Anonymous”), the country if you chose one, and the month it was published. We do not present published feedback as a verified customer review.

What we record about visits

To see which pages help people, we record anonymous events such as “page viewed”, “form started” or “step completed”. These events never contain your name, email address or phone number. With them we note the country your connection comes from, whether you use a phone, tablet or computer, and how the visit arrived: from a search engine, from another website (we keep only that website's address, such as example.org, not the page you came from), from one of our own links with campaign tags (we keep those tags, for example utm_source=facebook and utm_content=group-01: they describe our link, never you), or directly. Nothing finer.

We do not use cookies, we do not store anything on your device for these statistics, and we do not track you across other websites. While you fill in a form, your answers to the questions (not your contact details) are kept in your browser tab so you can go back and forth without losing them; they are removed when you send the form or close the tab.

Our hosting provider, Netlify, may show a small “Powered by Netlify” notice on the site. If you close it, your browser remembers that choice with a single setting stored on your device (not a cookie). It contains nothing about you and is not sent to us or to Netlify.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry, using only the contact method you chose.
  • To keep a record that you gave permission, and of what you agreed to.
  • To check that enquiries and feedback are genuine (for example, to stop automated spam) and to spot repeated submissions. For this we count requests from each network connection using a one-way code, never the address itself.
  • To prioritise replies: we rate each enquiry using only what you told us (the service, how soon you need it, how complete the details are) and how you reached us. We never use sensitive characteristics, and a person can review any rating.
  • If you also opted in to tips and offers by email, to send those; every message lets you unsubscribe.
  • To read website feedback and improve the site and the enquiry experience, to reply if you asked us to, and to publish it only if you allowed it.

Sharing

We do not sell your information. We will not share it with a repair or support partner, or anyone else, without asking you first. We use service providers to run the website and store data:

  • Website hosting: Netlify. The servers that receive your enquiry and pass it to our database are in the United States.
  • The database where enquiries are stored: Supabase, hosted in London, United Kingdom.
  • Background processing: Upstash, in the European Union. It receives only an internal reference number for each enquiry, never your contact details.

Vercel, which hosted this website before, is kept on standby so we can switch back to it if Netlify has a problem. It does not handle visits to this website unless we switch back. These providers process the information only to provide their services to us.

Feedback that you allowed us to publish, and that we chose to publish, is visible to anyone who visits this website.

Keeping it safe

Enquiries and feedback are stored in a secured database. Only staff who need them can see contact details, every view of a lead record is logged, and every moderation action on feedback is logged.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete your enquiry or feedback, remove feedback we published, or stop contacting you, at any time, using the contact route above. Depending on where you live you may also complain to a regulator: in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office, in Australia the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, and in the United States your state's consumer protection office.
